Nehru Yuva Kendra (MY Bharat), Baghpat is organizing Yuva Utsav – India@2047 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, engaging youth in six vibrant events inspired by the Panch Pran, to celebrate India’s heritage and foster patriotic spirit. The last date to apply for this program is November 20, 2024.
About the Event:
Inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s five resolves (Panch Pran) for India, unveiled during the transition from ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ to ‘Amrit Kaal’ on 15th August 2022, Nehru Yuva Kendra (MY Bharat), Baghpat is organizing a Mega Program: Yuva Utsav – India@2047. This initiative, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to engage the youth of Baghpat district in activities that rekindle the spirit of patriotism and celebrate the values of India’s freedom struggle. With the theme of Panch Pran guiding all events, Yuva Utsav provides a platform for young talents across diverse fields to actively participate in the district’s journey toward India’s centennial of independence in 2047. The event promises to spotlight the rich heritage, culture, and values of the nation while showcasing the transformative potential of Yuva Shakti se Jan Bhagidari.
The Yuva Utsav in Baghpat will include six key components: Science Mela, Young Artists Camp (Painting), Young Writers Camp (Poetry), Photography Workshop, Declamation Contest, and Cultural Festival. The event will be held at multiple venues, ensuring vibrant participation and collaboration among the district’s youth. With a structured progression from the district level to state and national levels, Yuva Utsav will highlight Baghpat’s diverse talent and cultural heritage on broader stages. Organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (MY Bharat), Baghpat, with the support of dedicated committees for each event, the program aims to instill a deeper appreciation of India’s freedom struggle, cultural diversity, and recent achievements, inspiring the youth to contribute actively to the nation’s future.
Key Components:
Science Mela
The Science Mela, a key component of Yuva Utsav: India@2047, aims to foster innovation and creativity among youth by showcasing innovative science and technology projects. Participation is open to both individual innovators and groups (up to five members per team). Each project should focus on practical applications and innovations in fields such as biotechnology, renewable energy, robotics, healthcare, or environmental conservation. Passive models or craftwork of existing systems are discouraged, with priority given to projects offering new solutions to societal or environmental challenges.
Participants must register on the MY Bharat portal to apply, and entries will undergo a screening process to select finalists. Selected participants will present their projects during the Mela, with judges evaluating entries based on innovation, presentation quality, and societal impact. Top 03 Individual Models will get 1st -3000 2nd-2000 3rd –1500. Top 03 Group Models will get 1st -7000 2nd-5000 3rd – 3000. Only 1st and 2nd winners in both individual and group categories will advance to the zone-level competition. Participants are encouraged to collaborate with educational institutions and local mentors to refine their projects, ensuring a diverse representation of Baghpat’s talent and ingenuity.
Young Artists Contest – Painting
The Young Artists Contest is a platform for aspiring painters to showcase their creativity, preserve India’s rich artistic traditions, and learn from experts in the field. Open to youth from across the district, the contest welcomes diverse styles, including traditional Indian painting forms (Madhubani, Kalamkari, Pahadi) and modern techniques like acrylic, watercolor, and charcoal. A total of 30 participants will be shortlisted based on a portfolio screening process, with representation from all blocks of the district encouraged.
Participants will create their artwork during the contest, adhering to the theme Panch Pran. Paintings will be judged on adherence to theme, color scheme, creativity, and overall design quality. Top 03 winners will get 1st -2500 2nd-1500 3rd –1000. Only 1st and 2nd place will advance to the zone-level competition. Efforts will be made to display participants’ works at a cultural venue, and their creations will be showcased on social media, tagging @NYKSIndia. This contest aims to inspire young artists, connect them with mentors, and celebrate the diversity and richness of Indian art.
Young Writers Contest – Poetry
The Young Writers Contest – Poetry invites aspiring poets to express their creativity and emotions through the power of words. Participants will compose original poems on the theme Panch Pran, drawing inspiration from the rich poetic heritage of India and its role in igniting the freedom struggle. Poems can be written in Hindi, English, or the official language of the state, providing a platform for diverse linguistic talents.
A total of 30 participants will be shortlisted after a portfolio screening process. During the contest, participants will write and submit their poems within a given timeframe, with the best works selected by a panel of experts based on adherence to the theme, creativity, coherence, and clarity. Top 03 winners will get 1st -2500 2nd-1500 3rd –1000. Only 1st and 2nd place will advance to the zone-level competition. The event will conclude with a recital of winning poems, with excerpts from the best works shared on social media to inspire a wider audience. This contest aims to nurture young literary talent and celebrate the transformative power of poetry.
Mobile Photography Contest
The Mobile Photography Contest provides an exciting platform for amateur photographers to showcase their talent using smartphones. Participants will explore the theme Panch Pran and capture creative, high-quality images that reflect their artistic vision and technical skill.
During the event, an expert session will guide participants on photography techniques, including lighting, angles, manual focus, and editing tips. Following the session, participants will submit their three best photographs within two hours. Submissions will be judged on creativity, technical expertise, and aesthetic value by a panel of experts. Top 03 winners will get 1st -2500 2nd-1500 3rd –1000. Only 1st and 2nd place will advance to the zone-level competition, with their works celebrated via slideshows and social media to inspire a broader audience. This contest is an opportunity to hone your skills and share your unique perspective through the art of photography.
Declamation Contest
The Declamation Contest, a key feature of District Yuva Utsav, aims to inspire a patriotic spirit and vision for India @2047 among youth. Participants will present speeches on the theme Panch Pran to showcase their leadership qualities, public speaking skills, and passion for nation-building.
Speeches should not exceed 7 minutes and can be delivered in Hindi or English. A panel of judges will evaluate participants based on content, communication, presentation skills, clarity of ideas, and confidence. The contest provides an excellent platform to strengthen nationalism, enhance oratory skills, and share innovative ideas for India’s future. Prizes of 1st -5000 2nd-2500 3rd – 1500 will be awarded to the top three performers, with the first-place winner advancing to the Zone Level Declamation Contest. This initiative aims to empower youth as leaders in the Amrit Kaal and engage them in shaping India’s growth story.
District Cultural Festival
The District Cultural Festival celebrates the vibrant and diverse traditional art forms of India, offering a platform for young artists to showcase their talents in group folk dance and singing. This event emphasizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage and instilling a sense of appreciation among youth for the rich traditions of their communities. Folk dance and song, as a medium of storytelling and expression, reflects the unique identity and heritage of local cultures. Through this festival, participants gain exposure to the cultural diversity of India while exploring fraternal links between various traditions.
Participation is open in Group/Individual Folk Dance and Folk Song. A panel of judges will evaluate teams based on their representation of local art and culture, traditional costumes, and overall performance quality. Ten teams will be selected to participate at the district level, with the winning first team of Group/Individual Folk Dance and Folk Song advancing to the Zone Cultural Festival. Top 03 winners of folk group/individual dance will get 1st -7000 2nd-5000 3rd – 3000 and winners of Group/Individual folk song will get 1st -2500 2nd-1500 3rd – 1000. The event will also be widely publicized and live-streamed, engaging the community and promoting traditional art forms. Prizes and certificates will be awarded, and winners may receive the Modi@20 book as a token of encouragement. This festival is a unique opportunity to celebrate and preserve India’s cultural diversity for future generations.
Instructions:
● Age and Eligibility: The age and eligibility of participants must be in accordance with the specific program requirements. Aadhar card is mandatory for age and residency verification.
● Registration Deadline: All participants must adhere to the registration deadline. Registration will not be accepted after November 20, 2024.
● Screening Process: Participants can only join the district youth festival after the screening process. It is mandatory to share details of past work and achievements in the registration form for screening.
● Mandatory Registration on MyYuva Bharat Portal: All participants must be registered on the Mera Yuva Bharat Portal.
● False Information: Participation will be cancelled if false information is provided during registration. Please ensure that all details in the registration form match the information on your Aadhar card.
● Discipline and Conduct: Adherence to discipline and decorum during the event is mandatory. Any inappropriate behavior can lead to disqualification.
● Punctuality: All participants must arrive at the event venue on time. Delays may affect your participation.
● Required Documents: Participants must bring 2 passport-sized photographs and a photocopy of their Aadhar card for registration, which will be submitted at the registration desk.
● Final Decision by Judges: The decision of the Judging Panel will be final, and participants are required to accept it.
● Time Limit for Performance: All performances must be completed within the designated time limit. Points may be deducted for exceeding the time limit.
● Originality of Performance: All presentations must be original. Any form of imitation or plagiarism will result in disqualification.
● Advancement to State Level: The winners selected at the district level will progress to the state level as per the competition rules. All participants should be prepared and willing to advance if selected.
