Kolkata, Apr.11 (BNP): Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Friday released the party’s election manifesto, titled ‘Sankalp Patra’, for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, outlining a series of key promises aimed at governance reforms and socio-economic development.

Amit Shah Unveils BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ for West Bengal, Promises UCC and Pay Commission Implementation

A major highlight of the manifesto is the commitment to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within six months of coming to power. The party has also promised to roll out the 7th Pay Commission within 45 days, ensuring improved salary structures and dearness allowance (DA) benefits for government employees.

Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah said that people in West Bengal are seeking change, expressing concerns over fear and disillusionment. He stated that over the past decade, the BJP has established itself as a strong and constructive opposition in the state and is now positioned as the principal opposition force in the Assembly.

The manifesto also outlines a zero-tolerance policy against infiltration, emphasizing stricter governance and law enforcement measures.

Focusing on women’s empowerment, Shah announced that a BJP-led government would provide financial assistance of ₹3,000 directly into the bank accounts of women. Additionally, the party has promised 33% reservation for women in all state government jobs, including the police force.

The release of the Sankalp Patra marks a significant step in BJP’s election campaign strategy, with key promises such as UCC implementation, employee welfare measures, and women-centric initiatives expected to shape the political narrative in the state.
