Keturah founder says Dubai shows its global standing with apartment, villa deals above AED 5 million

Dubai, UAE, June 12: Dubai’s luxury real estate market continued to attract strong investment in May, with developers recording almost AED5 billion in off-plan sales for homes priced above AED5 million.

A market analysis from the Keturah luxury brand today shows villa buyers accounted for AED2.51 billion across 184 transactions, while apartment sales reached AED2.45 billion from 207 deals.

The strongest villa activity came in the AED10-20 million bracket, where 60 transactions generated AED834.2 million in developer off-plan sales, with a further 23 deals worth AED746.3 million recorded in the AED20-50 million range.

Data from DXBinteract shows that apartment sales were concentrated in the AED5-10 million bracket, which accounted for 158 of the 207 transactions recorded during the month.

With a total of 391 apartment and villa sales amounting to AED4.96 billion, it means an average of 12 off-plan homes each worth more than AED5 million were sold every day of the month, at an average of AED12.7 million per property.

Luxury off-plan homes bring AED5 billion May sales

“This is the equivalent of almost 400 homes each worth more than £1 million in London, and $1.36 million in New York, being sold in a single month,” said Talal M. Al Gaddah, CEO and Founder of the Keturah luxury brand.

“It says a great deal about Dubai’s standing among the world’s leading real estate markets, and about the depth of confidence that continues to exist here.”

Added Al Gaddah: “This market has proven over many years that its resilience is structural rather than cyclical. When conditions become more challenging, that foundation holds, and serious capital continues to move.

“At the same time, the definition of luxury in real estate is evolving, as global investors focus more on wellness, liveability, environmental quality, privacy, and long-term residency potential.”

Keturah currently has two major residential developments under way in Dubai that sit directly within this market segment. Keturah Reserve is an AED5.7 billion bio-living community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City’s District 7. The Ritz-Carlton Residences at Keturah Resort is a wellness-certified waterfront community along Dubai Creek adjacent to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.

“Both projects were conceived with exactly this shift in mind,” said Al Gaddah. “Buyers are now asking more of the developments they choose. They want to know how a home will actually serve them day to day, how it is built, what surrounds it, and whether it will hold its value over time.

“Developers who answer these questions honestly will earn long-term trust, and Dubai will attract long-term capital because the fundamentals are genuinely strong. The regulatory environment is transparent, the infrastructure is world-class, and the city is planned with genuine foresight.”

The Centre for Land Warfare Studies  serves as the Defence Knowledge Partner.

Commenting on the upcoming Congress, Mr. Anil Prakash, Director General, SIA-India, said:

” As the economy becomes increasingly dependent on space-enabled communications, navigation, digital infrastructure, financial systems, logistics and national security applications, there is a strong case for viewing space as critical infrastructure. At ISC we are deliberating upon this aspect that the CI recognition is not merely about protecting assets; it is about creating the conditions for growth which can help unlock infrastructure-style financing, improve access to long-term capital, strengthen investor confidence and support the development of globally competitive space enterprises. Also that any future regulatory frameworks including the Space Activities bill must balance compliance obligations with enabling incentives so that resilience, innovation and commercial growth advance together. ISC 2026 provides an important platform for shaping this next phase of India’s space journey.”

Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri, President, SIA-India, added:

“To achieve India’s ambition of becoming a USD 44 billion space economy requires predictable regulation, stronger demand signals, risk-sharing mechanisms, deeper industry-academia collaboration and access to long-term growth capital. The discussions at ISC 2026 are therefore not only about technology and policy; they are about building the foundations of a globally competitive space economy capable of attracting investment, creating markets and delivering long-term economic value”

With participation from leading global space agencies, defence organisations, investors, satellite operators, launch companies, technology providers, manufacturers, startups and researchers, ISC 2026 is expected to serve as a key platform for shaping the future of India’s space sector and strengthening its role in the global space economy.

KEZAD Group Announces the Development of AED 112 Million SME Hub in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 11 June 2026: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, one of the largest operators of integrated and purpose-built economic zones in the region, has announced the development of the KEZAD SME Hub, a purpose-built business platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The SME Hub marks the Group’s first-of-its-kind development designed to support SMEs in establishing and scaling their operations in the emirate.

Scheduled for handover before the end of this year, and located in KEZAD A (KEZAD Al Ma’mourah), the 25,260 square metre KEZAD SME Hub is designed as a practical bridge between early-stage SME incubators and full-fledged industrial market facilities. The aim of the SME Hub is to ease the transition from startup to scaled production and distribution within an integrated economic zone.

The hub benefits from direct connectivity to Khalifa Port and Etihad Rail networks, and offers businesses access to more than 75 percent of the UAE’s urban areas within a 90-minute drive.

As a pioneering development, the AED 112 million hub combines Micro Industrial Units and office suites in a single model, enabling SMEs to streamline day-to-day activity, logistics and costs. Co-located within a like-minded SME community and complementary industrial activities, businesses can unlock partnership opportunities through shared services and supplier networks.

The hub comprises 175 flexible business-ready Micro Industrial Units starting from 100 square metres, supported by a dedicated business centre and access to KEZAD’s on-site infrastructure and business support services.

SMEs represent 94 percent of all businesses in the UAE, and contribute to 64 percent of the nation’s non-oil GDP. In Abu Dhabi, SMEs constitute around 98 percent of the emirate’s businesses, employ 46 percent of the workforce, and contribute to around 43 percent to its non-oil GDP. With the SME sector expected to grow to one million enterprises by 2030, SME development remains central to the diversification of Abu Dhabi’s economy.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO, Economic Cities & Free Zones, AD Ports Group said: “SME sector growth is a top priority for Abu Dhabi. In alignment with the leadership’s vision, we aim to establish KEZAD as a thriving ecosystem for small and medium enterprise development in the region. The KEZAD SME Hub will serve as a launchpad for SMEs, nurturing and developing the industry with vital resources and support required to grow in a competitive market.

Joining the hub will also enable SME investors to leverage the advantages and business support provided by KEZAD’s integrated business ecosystems.”

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group said: “With the SME Hub initiative, we are strengthening KEZAD’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem dedicated to small and medium industries. The Hub will play a crucial role by providing early-stage support for SME startups while also enabling established SMEs to scale their operations at competitive costs within an integrated industrial environment, bridging the gap between SME incubators and the industrial market facilities needed to compete and grow.”

Small and medium enterprises play a vital role in Abu Dhabi’s economy, fuelling industrial advancement and job creation. Backed by the leadership’s vision, KEZAD continues to empower SMEs to set up, thrive, and grow into globally competitive businesses, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a leading destination for industry and commerce
