Mumbai, June 11, 2025: Amid rising political temperatures in Bihar, the country’s financial capital, Mumbai, is set to witness another landmark event. On June 14, the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Dahisar will host Bihari Swabhiman Sammelan 2025 – the largest and most influential gathering of migrant Biharis. This grand event is being organised by Shubhsita Foundation, committed to giving a national platform to the identity, pride, and unity of Bihar and its people.
Biharis from all corners of the country will gather at this conference—individuals who may have left Bihar in pursuit of their dreams but whose souls remain deeply connected to their roots. This platform is set to become the voice of those migrant Biharis who have scaled new heights globally through their hard work and talent.
According to Manorama Jha, Founder of Shubhsita Foundation, this conference is a historic opportunity to unite the Bihari community and collectively reflect on the future of the state.
“Our Bihar has given the country IAS-IPS officers, scientists, doctors, leaders, and artists. Now it is time we come together and do something for our state—ignite a new consciousness. This is not just an event, it’s a people’s movement for the self-respect of Biharis.”
One of the key highlights of the conference is that it is not affiliated with any single political ideology. People from all parties, communities, and backgrounds will be given an equal platform to freely express their thoughts on Bihar’s future, development, and social participation.
Prominent political leaders expected to attend include Shiv Sena leader and former MP Sanjay Nirupam, RJD Mahila Wing State President Ritu Jaiswal, BJP Mumbai Vice President Acharya Pawan Tripathi, Jan Suraj Bihar State
President Shri Manoj Bharti, and BJP Maharashtra Secretary Shweta Shalini.
Along with politics, the stage will also host distinguished personalities from administration, social work, education, and the film industry. Adding to the event’s grandeur, Padma Bhushan awardee and Bollywood singer Udit Narayan will not only participate but has also shared a video message urging all Biharis to join the event.
The event will feature rich glimpses of traditional Bihari folk songs, dances, and theatrical performances. A special attraction will be a live performance by popular folk singer Kalpana Patowary. Additionally, for lovers of Bihari cuisine, there will be special arrangements for traditional dishes like litti-chokha, thekua, and sattu.
Rohan Jha, Executive President of Shubhsita Foundation and a social activist leading the coordination efforts, shared that this has become an emotional responsibility:
