June 12, 2025 : OMNES Education, a French higher education group with 15 schools and 40,000 students, has launched the Intelligence Lab at its engineering school, ECE. This AI-driven platform is a key part of OMNESโs strategic transformation, aiming to integrate artificial intelligence into all aspects of student learning and faculty tools. The group aspires to become the pioneer of AI in French private higher education by 2027.
The Intelligence Lab provides a cutting-edge platform for AI education, research, and innovation
The Intelligence Lab is designed to accelerate OMNES Educationโs transformation through hands-on, cross-disciplinary AI engagement. It features a high-performance Graphics Processing Units (GPU) cluster capable of large-scale computations, enabling students to gain practical experience in foundational machine learning and advanced generative AI models. The Lab emphasizes ethical and responsible AI development, promoting sovereign, resource-efficient, and open-source solutions.
AI is now central to ECEโs academic offerings, preparing students to become leaders in generative and agent-based AI. The Lab has formed R&D partnerships with industry leaders like Renault, Orano, MBDA, Ametra Engineering, and IRT SystemX, a Paris-Saclay based technology research institute, along with international collaboration with Kaydan Groupe in Cรดte dโIvoire. These partnerships provide students with access to real-world AI projects, cutting edge technological challenges, and professional environments.

An innovative example from the Lab is the creation of an AI avatar of ECEโs Dean, developed by students. This prototype, capable of answering applicant questions 24/7 in any language, will be deployed across all OMNES schools starting in the 2026โ2027 academic year, showcasing the groupโs commitment to enhancing educational services through AI.
OMNES Education is personalising student learning and employability with a comprehensive AI integration strategy
Starting in the 2025โ2026 academic year, all 40,000 OMNES students will receive training in AI fundamentals and its professional applications through the โTech For Allโ programme, offering over 50 hours of online courses covering AI basics, cybersecurity, data literacy, and ethics. An expanded โTechAwayโ programme will provide 150+ hours of advanced AI content, including prompt engineering, data science, no-code tools, programming, and cybersecurity, preparing students for AI-driven career changes.
To support personalised learning, OMNES Education will also introduce โBoostโIA,โ a virtual learning coach. This AI assistant will offer tailored course summaries, adaptive exercises, and explanations based on faculty-approved content. Additionally, OMNES Education will launch โIA Battles,โ interdisciplinary AI projects where second-cycle students collaborate on real-world challenges, such as using AI to expand brand reach or influence global diplomacy.
OMNES Education is expanding its presence in India to foster academic and AI collaborations
Building on its successful Bangalore office, OMNES Education recently opened a second office in New Delhi to strengthen partnerships with Indian academic institutions and industry stakeholders. The groupโs focus on AI education aligns with Indiaโs growing technology sector, opening opportunities for joint research, student exchanges, and collaborative AI projects between India and France.
โThis transformation is built on a strong conviction: when used ethically and responsibly, artificial intelligence is a powerful lever to advance higher education while enabling the digital transformation of businesses. Through this global initiative, we want to give our students the opportunity to experiment with data and AI tools throughout their studies, and to build a solid foundation of AI skills essential to their professional success,โ said Josรฉ Milano, Executive President of OMNES Education.
