Ahmedabad, 13th June 2025: Canadian Wood successfully hosted an engaging seminar on โ€œWood A Sustainable and Renewable Materialโ€ at Courtyard by Marriott. The seminar brought together a diverse group of leading manufacturers, architects, developers and industry professionals to highlight the growing importance of wood as a sustainable resource in modern architecture, design, and manufacturing.

The seminar began with an informative presentation by Mr. Gajanan Patankar from Canadian Wood, who spoke on the sustainability of wood from B.C. Canada and its versatile applications. He was followed by Ar. Ujjaval Parekh from Reasoning Instincts Architecture Studio, who shared his experience and passion for integrating wood into his projects. Their presentations set the stage for an engaging panel discussion, which was led by Mr. Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director of Canadian Wood, emphasized the significance of Wood in todayโ€™s industry by focussing on sustainability and certifications. The panellists also shared their insights on the versatility, durability, and benefits of wood in construction and design. The discussion underscored the importance of responsibly sourced wood and its role in promoting eco-friendly material. This panel discussion moderated by Dr. Jimmy Thomas, from Canadian Wood who steered the conversation with thought provoking perspectives on sustainability, benefits and various applications of wood.

The seminar provided an invaluable platform for industry professionals to exchange knowledge and deepen their understanding of woodโ€™s potential as a sustainable and renewable material. The insights shared are expected to drive greater adoption of responsibly sourced wood, contributing to environmentally conscious practices in the construction and woodworking industries.
