Hyderabad, June 13, 2025 — GAIL (India) Limited has been conferred with the prestigious ‘GreenCo Champion Award’ at the 14th Edition of the CII GreenCo Summit 2025 held in Hyderabad. The award was presented to Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development), who accepted it on behalf of the company.
The GreenCo Champion Award is bestowed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to those organizations that can prove a worthy commitment to environmental sustainability in their people, processes, and policies. Through the active participation of a large number of operational units in the GreenCo rating system of CII, GAIL has been conferred with this award. The system-wise performance assessment considers energy efficiency, water and waste management, renewable energy use, green supply chain, and even carbon footprint reduction.
In addition to this notable achievement, GAIL’s Jagdishpur-Haldia & Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline (JHBDPL) – Ranchi Section and the Kochi-Koottanad-Bangalore-Mangalore Pipeline (KKBMPL) – Kochi Section were both awarded the ‘GreenCo Platinum Rating’, the highest rating under the GreenCo framework. These accolades mark a significant milestone in GAIL’s sustainability journey, bringing the total number of GreenCo-certified GAIL sites to 10.
