Pune, 15th September 2025: Manipal Hospital Kharadi Pune hosted a special campaign for senior citizens with a focus on fall prevention, healthy aging, and early symptom awareness in celebration of World Physiotherapy Day. With the help of physiotherapy along with expert medical guidance, the program aimed to equip senior citizens with helpful guidance on maintaining an active lifestyle, enhancing balance, and avoiding age-related disorders.
Over 60 participants, including senior citizens and patients who had undergone knee or hip surgeries, attended the program. The event featured an engaging Health Talk by Dr. Mokshi Koul, Consultant – Physiotherapy, who elaborated on preventive care, recognizing early warning signs, and adopting lifestyle habits that promote healthy ageing and reduce fall risk.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mokshi Koul, Consultant Physiotherapy, Manipal Hospitals Kharadi Pune, said: “Managing strength and balance through appropriate exercise, prevention, and early symptom assessment are all important aspects of healthy aging. Educating and empowering senior citizens to live independent, better, and safer lives was the objective on World Physiotherapy Day.”
