New Delhiโ€“ The grand celebration of Indiaโ€™s rich handloom heritage, โ€œBunai Gatha โ€“ The Story of Handloomโ€, concluded successfully today at Handloom Haat, Janpath, New Delhi. Organized by the National Design Centre in collaboration with the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, this prestigious expo saw the participation of more than 50 handloom producer companies from across the country. The expo witnessed on-the-spot business worth more than โ‚น50 lakhs, along with a significant number of business inquiries received by the participants, highlighting the growing demand for Indian handloom products.

Held from February 21 to March 2, 2025, this 10-day event played a crucial role in promoting Indian handloom products in both national and international markets. The expo provided a direct platform for weavers, exporters, wholesalers, and fashion industry experts to connect, ensuring greater recognition for exquisite handmade textiles.

The exhibition showcased a diverse range of traditional sarees, shawls, dupattas, stoles, home furnishings, bed linen, fabrics, and dress materials, reflecting Indiaโ€™s centuries-old weaving traditions and craftsmanship. Renowned designers, textile experts, and fashion enthusiasts also participated in the event, further strengthening the global appeal of Indian handlooms.

The participants received an overwhelming response from national and international visitors. Additionally, buyers, visitors, and customers had the opportunity to source their merchandise directly from the producer companies, ensuring access to authentic and high-quality handloom products.
