Savi Thakur is all set to captivate audiences with his role as Rudra in Sun Neo’s newly launched show, Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri. Recently, Savi shared his thoughts on what makes this character so special, why he chose the role, and the relationships that define Rudra’s world.
Speaking about playing Rudra in Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri, Savi Thakur said, “Rudra is one of those characters that instantly felt personal to me. He’s charming, ambitious, and strong-willed—someone who wants to live life on his own terms, and I resonate with that deeply. At the same time, he has a strong sense of family, which creates this beautiful inner conflict between his desire for freedom and his responsibilities. His journey is filled with unexpected twists, and I can’t wait for the audience to experience it.”
The Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri actor also revealed what made him say yes to the role: “The emotional push and pull in Rudra’s journey is what truly drew me to this role. The choices he has to make, the dilemmas he faces—it all makes him such a layered character. Playing Rudra is more than just portraying a role; it’s about bringing his emotions, conflicts, and relationships to life in a way that feels real. In many ways, his journey reminds me of my own, making this role even more special.”
He further shared the most special relationship in the show, according to him: “One thing I absolutely relate to in Rudra is his love for his family. His bond with his brother, Virender, and his Daadi, Jagdamba, is truly special. Virender isn’t just his brother—he’s his idol. Rudra deeply admires the way he carries himself and leads their family and village. And then there’s Daadi—she’s the soul of their family. Rudra respects her every decision because he knows she only wants what’s best for them. That deep-rooted faith in her wisdom is something I find incredibly moving.”
