Kolkata, 6th March, 2025: The largest Eyecare Chain of Eastern India, Disha Eye Hospitals has come up with their 19th branch being launched at Chittaranjan Avenue in Girish Park. The inauguration ceremony of the newly opened Hospital was graced by Swami Shantipradananda Maharaj, Manager, Ramakrishna Math, Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals and Dr. Aditya Pradhan, Consultant, Disha Eye Hospitals.
The newly opened branch of Disha Eye Hospitals is sprawled around 10,000 sq ft area and are divided into total four floors. It is a 30 Bedded eye care unit which is well equipped with all the trending and progressive eye care technologies. The Hospital premises will bear total 5 Consultation Rooms and 2 OT for now serving any situation of eye related medical emergencies.
“Since its inception in 1997 Disha Eye Hospitals has been dedicatedly working for welfare of the patients who suffers from any eye related ailments. In this 28 years of long journey we are able to reach approximately 300 crore families of Bengal and have operated near about 12 lakh patients across all branches which have more than 1000 staffs and 96 full time consultants. Over these years the Eye Care Industry have overall witnessed many revolutionary changes, especially technological advancements. We have always pledged to bring an innovative and ahead of times eye care facilities for the ordinary people at a reasonable range so that no people can be left behind from a pleasing eye sight. In the coming years we will be establishing more eyecare hospitals in the districts, Nadia, Purulia, Haldia and Bakura with an investment of near to Rs 100 Crore. In the future period we will be also bringing 100 Vision Centers and Teleconsultation Hubs for providing eye related facilities. We are eyeing for setting our foot in the National cities as well. Known Eye Surgeons and skilled Ophthalmologists from all the corners of Bengal will be attending the patients of this new branch at North Calcutta. Since Cataract issues and Retinal Dysfunction are one of the common vision challenges that the people usually undergoes so the Girish Park Branch will initially commence with the Cataract and Retina Surgeries for the patients hailing from any section of the society.
