From a Passion for AI to a Career in Technology: Delhi Girl Muskaan Arora’s Journey with Samsung Innovation Campus

Gurugram, Oct 01: For Muskaan Arora, Artificial Intelligence has always been an area of curiosity and possibility. As a student of computer applications, she was drawn to technology, software development and problem-solving, with a clear ambition to build a career in the technology industry.

But as she prepared to make the transition from the classroom to the workplace, Muskaan found herself grappling with a familiar question: was her academic knowledge enough to meet the expectations of the technology industry?

Pursuing her Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at the University School of Information, Communication & Technology (USICT), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Muskaan had built a strong foundation through her academic learning. Yet, she wondered whether she had the practical skills and real-world exposure needed to apply that knowledge with confidence.

That was when her journey with Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) began. 

Turning an interest in AI into practical learning

Muskaan joined Samsung Innovation Campus with a clear goal — to learn Artificial Intelligence from industry experts, understand its real-world applications and strengthen the skills needed to become industry-ready.

Under Samsung Innovation Campus, she pursued the Artificial Intelligence course, where practical assignments, project-based learning and interactive sessions with mentors helped her move beyond theoretical concepts and develop a more hands-on understanding of AI.

For Muskaan, the experience was as much about building confidence as it was about building technical skills.

Working on practical AI projects gave her an opportunity to understand how Artificial Intelligence could be applied to real-world challenges. The mentorship she received encouraged her to approach problems creatively, while the hands-on learning helped strengthen her analytical and problem-solving abilities.

From learning AI to becoming industry-ready

The skills Muskaan developed through her SIC journey soon became an important part of her transition into the professional world.

The practical exposure and project-based learning she gained through the Artificial Intelligence course helped her strengthen her understanding of core concepts and develop a structured approach to problem-solving. These learnings also gave her greater confidence as she navigated the recruitment process.

When she appeared for technical interviews, Muskaan was able to draw on the practical knowledge and problem-solving approach she had developed through SIC. The experience helped her feel better prepared to translate what she had learned into a professional setting.

Her efforts culminated in a significant milestone — Muskaan secured a placement at Infosys as a System Engineer, marking the beginning of her professional journey in technology.

For her, the opportunity represents more than a first step into the workforce. It reflects a journey from questioning whether she was ready for the industry to gaining the confidence to take on that challenge. 

Confidence that extends beyond the classroom

Muskaan’s transformation also changed how those around her viewed her ambitions.

Her placement at Infosys became a proud moment for her family, strengthening their belief in her abilities and reinforcing the value of dedication, continuous learning and the right opportunities.

As she begins her career, Muskaan is looking forward to continuing to learn and grow in the technology industry. Her experience has also shaped the advice she would like to share with other young women aspiring to pursue technology.

“Believe in yourself, stay curious, embrace challenges, and never stop learning,” she says, encouraging young girls to see technology as a field full of opportunities.

Muskaan’s journey began with a passion for Artificial Intelligence and the uncertainty of whether she could turn that interest into a career. Through Samsung Innovation Campus, she gained the practical exposure and confidence to take that next step — turning her interest in technology into the foundation for her professional journey.
