New Delhi, May2025 – KLK Ventures has been conferred a prestigious contract under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. The project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 500 Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) of varying capacities (1-7.5 HP) across Assam.
Adapted as a significant leap for sustainability in agriculture and rural development in Assam, the project intends to install solar pumping stations, wherein they would serve to provide assured water for irrigation, drinking water supply, and community needs against erratic availability of electricity from obscure power grids and interference of fossil fuels.
As part of a significant renewable energy initiative in Assam, this project involves designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning 500 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. These systems are being rolled out under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme, which is a flagship program from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in the Government of India. Tailored to meet the varied irrigation needs of farmers, the pumps will come in different capacities ranging from 1 HP to 7.5 HP, making them suitable for various geographic and agricultural settings. This extensive rollout marks a crucial move towards decreasing reliance on traditional energy sources and empowering rural communities with sustainable irrigation solutions.
