Traders Café brings the trading community together for immersive learning and market engagement

Bengaluru, Aug 11: Kotak Neo, the digital trading platform of Kotak Securities, successfully hosted its flagship engagement initiative, Traders Café, in Bengaluru, bringing together an active and growing community of traders and investors for an interactive engagement focused on market insights, trading strategies and technology-led participation in the capital markets.

Karnataka has emerged as one of India’s largest and fastest-growing retail investor markets. According to NSE data, the number of unique registered investors in the state has grown more than ten-fold, from 7.1 lakh in FY10 to 73.4 lakh in FY27TD, with nearly 54 lakh investors added since FY20 alone. The growth reflects increasing participation in capital markets across the state and highlights Karnataka’s growing importance in India’s retail investing landscape.

The momentum is particularly evident in Bengaluru, which continues to be a key centre of investor activity. According to the NSE Market Pulse, July 2026 report, Bengaluru Urban recorded equity cash market turnover of ₹75,000 crore from individual investors in June 2026, registering a 7% month-on-month increase and accounting for 4.2% of turnover among the top districts. At the state level, Karnataka was among the top states in individual investor equity cash turnover and recorded a 6.7% month-on-month increase in June 2026.

With its strong concentration of technology professionals, entrepreneurs and digitally savvy individuals, Bengaluru represents one of the country’s most vibrant investing communities. The city’s deep-rooted affinity for technology and innovation has contributed to a growing culture of self-directed investing, making it an ideal destination for Kotak Neo’s trader engagement initiative.

Commenting on the initiative, Sahaj Agrawal, Head of Derivatives Research, Kotak Securities, said, “Bengaluru is home to a highly engaged and evolving trading community that is increasingly seeking knowledge-led market participation. Through Traders Café, we are creating a platform for traders to interact with experts, exchange perspectives and gain practical insights that can help them navigate markets with greater confidence.”

The Bengaluru edition of Traders Café featured interactive conversations around market developments, trading strategies and risk management, along with demonstrations of Kotak Neo’s digital trading capabilities. Participants also had the opportunity to engage with market experts and the Kotak Securities team, exchange perspectives with fellow traders and gain a better understanding of the tools available to them.

Kotak Neo is a feature-rich and intuitive trading platform built for today’s digitally savvy investors and traders. It offers advanced charting, basket orders, payoff analysers, price alerts and powerful stock screeners, enabling informed decision-making and efficient strategy execution. The platform also supports curated investment baskets via StockCase, SIPs in equities and ETFs through SipIt, and zero-brokerage, zero-fee TRADE APIs for retail algorithmic traders.

The brokerage also offers a Trade Free Plan with free account opening and brokerage of ₹10 per order on all intraday and F&O trades. The platform additionally provides a Margin Trading Facility (MTF) at 9.69% p.a. for Trade Free Pro Plan users.
