The closure applies to major exchanges including the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange, with trading suspended across equity, derivatives, and currency segments. The forex market also remained closed for the day in line with the holiday schedule.

According to the official trading calendar, normal market activity is set to resume on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Commodity exchanges observed a partial holiday, with morning trading sessions remaining closed, while evening operations are expected to reopen as per standard schedule.

The market holiday provided a pause in trading activity across segments, aligning with the nationwide observance of Ambedkar Jayanti.
