Mumbai, 14 october 2025 : The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) and Cityflo today announced a strategic partnership to introduce dedicated feeder bus services for Mumbai Metro Line 3, with its 3rd phase launched on 8th Oct. The collaboration marks a significant step in addressing one of the cityโ€™s most persistent transit challenges of first- and last-mile connectivity, and is expected to play a critical role in driving higher metro adoption across the city.

MMRC and Cityflo launch feeder buses to bridge last mile gap for Metro Line 3

Indiaโ€™s metro systems have expanded rapidly over the past decade, growing from 248 kilometres across five cities in 2014 to over 1,000 kilometres across 23 cities today. In Mumbai, elevated Metro Lines 2A and 7 have already carried more than 200 million passenger journeys in over 3 years, with daily ridership averaging over 300,000. This type of 1st and last mile commute will further enhance the metro ridership

The MMRC – Cityflo partnership is designed to directly address this friction point. Services will be launched at high-demand stations including Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), with buses running every 10 minutes during peak hours to ensure minimal waiting time. The initiative will feature integrated ticketing through both the Cityflo app and the Metro Connect 3 app. Over time, deeper integration will allow commuters to book Cityflo feeder services directly within the metro application and vice versa creating a seamless digital journey. Introductory fares are expected to be set at โ‚น29 per single ride, with a monthly pass option at โ‚น499 to encourage daily use and build habitual adoption.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. R.
