Mumbai, July 2nd, 2025 — Jalebi Rocks, a groundbreaking Gujarati film by CCHINMAY P PUROHIT and ANB Entertainers, released in theatres on June 27, marking a bold new chapter in Indian cinema. The film is India’s first cinematic take on menopause, a subject long ignored and misunderstood.

Jalebi Rocks is a Gujarati family film that thoughtfully addresses the topic of menopause. It follows the journey of Vidya Pathak, a 48-year-old housewife, and beautifully celebrates resilience, self-worth, and the indomitable spirit of a woman. A heartwarming story of late blooming and personal achievement, the film is a reminder that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.

Writer-director Chinmay Purohit says, “This is India’s first movie about menopause — a topic that’s often ignored and not well understood. It explores something new in a way that people of all ages can relate to. The audience response after the release has been amazing, and because of that, we’ve increased the number of screens across India.”
