13th Jun 2025: Acting is all about transformation but what happens when you have to live two very different lives at the same time? Shivani Gosain is currently embracing this thrilling challenge in Sun Neo’s show Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri. For the very first time, she is playing a double role bringing to life both Kamini and Mandakini, which is demanding yet fun. Recently, Shivani shared her experience of playing a double role.
Shivani says, “Right now in the show, I’m playing a double role for the very first time—and it’s been quite a ride! On one side, there’s Kamini, who’s always busy plotting something or the other, full of clever tricks. On the other side, I become Mandakini, a mysterious woman who has returned to take revenge on the Bundela family. Playing a double role feels like living two different lives in one body—it’s challenging to switch expressions, body language, and voice so quickly, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting and fun.”
She also adds about her striking look as Mandakini, “When I look at myself in Mandakini’s get-up, I can’t help but think of Shraddha Kapoor’s look from the movie Stree. Just like in Stree, where her braid holds all her power, Mandakini’s choti also has a strange, magical energy. It’s not just a hairstyle—it feels like a silent weapon, full of secrets and strength.”
Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri follows the journey of Gauri, a brave and kind girl whose deep faith helps her face life’s toughest trials. Forced into an unwanted marriage, she enters the Bundela family and fights to shape her destiny with strength and wisdom.
