Fortis Greater Noida Conducts Mental Health Workshop for Police on Work-Life Balance

Greater Noida, Nov 21: Fortis Hospital Greater Noida organised an insightful health talk on “How to Manage Work-Life Balance” for police personnel at the Police Headquarters in Surajpur, Greater Noida. The session, conducted by Dr. Manu Tiwari, Consultant, Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Hospital Greater Noida, focused on strategies to manage stress, maintain emotional well-being, and achieve balance between professional duties and personal life. The session was attended by over 600 police personnel.

In India, mental health issues affect an estimated 150 million people, yet only 10–15% receive adequate care.  The session was attended by Gautam Buddha Nagar Additional Police Commissioner Mr Ajay Kumar, Deputy Police Commissioner Mr Shailendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Police Commissioner Mr. Rakesh Pratap Singh and Mr. Hemant Upadhyay, Circle Inspector Mr. Sudhir Rai, RTC In-charge Mr. Nekaram Singh, and several other police officers and personnel. The interactive session focused on practical techniques to manage stress, improve focus, and develop a resilient mindset. The participants were guided on relaxation strategies, emotional regulation, and time management to help maintain mental equilibrium amidst challenging work schedules.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Manu TiwariConsultant, Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Hospital Greater Noida said, “Law enforcement professionals face immense psychological pressure and demanding work environments. It is essential to recognise the impact of continuous stress and adopt coping mechanisms that promote both mental and emotional health. Simple practices such as mindfulness, self-care, and setting healthy boundaries can significantly improve overall well-being and performance.”
