India, 15th November, 2025: With profound grief, we inform the unfortunate demise of noted environmentalist Smt. Salu Marada Thimmakka, aged 114 years, on 14th November 2025 at 12noon.
Smt. Thimmakka was admitted at Apollo Jayanagar on 2nd November with Acute Exacerbation of Bronchial Asthma and Lower Respiratory Tract Infection. She was under the care of multidisciplinary team of Doctors led by Dr. Ravindra Mehta, Sr. Consultant Interventional Pulmonology & Critical Care Medicine.
Despite the best efforts of the highly qualified team, Smt. Thimmakka suffered multi organ failure due to the prolonged illness and succumbed earlier today.
We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and join them in prayers for the departed soul. We mourn the loss of one of India’s foremost environmentalists.
