Chennai: Reinforcing its commitment to menstrual hygiene and sustainability, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), in collaboration with HLL Management Academy (HMA), launched the M-Cup distribution initiative under Project THINKAL at CPCL Polytechnic College, Manali. The initiative specifically targeted communities in Manali, Ennore, and Thiruvottiyur.
The distribution drive was inaugurated by Gomuraj, Deputy General Manager (Administration), CPCL and distributed M-Cups to selected beneficiaries and officially launched an informative booklet on menstrual cups, aimed at educating women on safe, effective, and hygienic usage practices.
Project THINKAL, a flagship initiative of HLL Management Academy, focuses on spreading awareness about menstrual health and promoting sustainable alternatives such as menstrual cups. The launch event at CPCL Polytechnic College marks a significant step forward in bringing eco-friendly and cost-effective menstrual hygiene solutions to underrepresented communities.
Speaking at the event, Gomuraj emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene education and the role of sustainable products in empowering women and reducing environmental waste. “Initiatives like Project THINKAL help us move closer to a society where women can manage their menstrual health with dignity, safety, and environmental consciousness,” he said.
With continued efforts under Project THINKAL, CPCL and HMA aim to expand the reach of M-Cup distribution and awareness programs across more regions in Tamil Nadu, ensuring access to safe menstrual care for all.
