National, 4th March 2025: Femina Achievers 2025: Northeast brought together the finest talents of the region on March 2, 2025, at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati. Hosted by Femina, India’s leading women’s lifestyle brand, the evening honoured individuals who have made a lasting impact across diverse fields. The first-ever Northeast edition proved to be a resounding success, highlighting the region’s rich talent and trailblazing achievers.
The evening commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by esteemed guests of honour – Seema Biswas; Manisha Hazarika; Diganta Borah, Inspector General of Police, Special Bureau; Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Commissioner of Police; Dr. Sanjive Narain, Entrepreneur, Producer and Media Pioneer; and Dr. P. Srinivasa Reddy, Managing Director, Sai Vikash. This was followed by the felicitation of achievers from various sectors, including entrepreneurship, arts, sports, and social impact, recognising their outstanding contributions to society.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was awardee Marmita Mitra’s heartfelt speech, in which she expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming love she has received from the people of Assam. She sang a few lines for the audience. The night also saw a captivating performance by Kuntal Raj Chakroborty, Guinness Book of World Record holder for the longest mandolin marathon, adding to the grandeur of the celebration.
Among the illustrious honourees were DIG Indrani Baruah (IPS), Nishita Goswami, Rima Das, Dr. Akshata Narain, Marmita Mitra, and Zarina Laskar, whose exceptional journeys and contributions were celebrated. Additionally, legendary athletes Mary Kom and Dipa Karmakar, actor and model Andrea Kevichusa, and entrepreneur Rita Tage were honoured for their incredible achievements. The event also recognised distinguished awardees such as Dr. Sangeeta Tripathi, Pallavi Choudhury Baishya, Sanchita Chakraborty, and many more.
