FT Rankings 2026: TAPMI leads India In Masters In Management, Ranks 98th Globally

Manipal, Sep 09: T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, has secured the 98th position globally in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2026 ranking, marking its debut in the prestigious global ranking.

Strong career outcomes underpin TAPMI’s debut in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. The Institute ranks 60th globally for Career Progress and 42nd for Careers Service, with 80.1% of graduates achieving their career aims. Graduates recorded a 53.7% increase in salary, with a Weighted Salary of US$91,285, while 100% of graduates were employed within three months. TAPMI’s Alumni Network ranks 86th globally, while its Value for Money rank stands at 95.

The Institute also recorded strong results in diversity, faculty expertise, international exposure, and sustainability. Female students account for 49% of the cohort, and women constitute 42% of the faculty, while 96% of faculty members hold doctorates. TAPMI ranks 28th globally for International Course Experience and 94th for International Work Mobility. On sustainability, the Institute ranks 94th globally for ESG and Net Zero Teaching and 99th for Carbon Footprint, reflecting its performance across key dimensions of responsible and future-ready management education.

The FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking evaluates leading business schools across 19 criteria, with alumni feedback accounting for 56% of the overall ranking weight and school data comprising the remaining 44%. The assessment considers parameters including career progression, salary outcomes, value for money, alumni network, international mobility, diversity and sustainability, providing a comprehensive measure of program quality and graduate outcomes.

TAPMI is among 14 Indian business schools featured in the 2026 FT MiM rankings and one of the institutions contributing to the growing global footprint of Indian management education. Established in 1980 and located in Manipal, Karnataka, TAPMI is accredited by AACSB and AMBA and has built a strong legacy in management education through its focus on academic rigor, industry relevance, and holistic leadership development.
