Faridabad, January 31, 2025: Manav Rachna University (MRU) successfully hosted its first TEDx MRU event, From Bureaucrats to Bytes – Reinventing Leadership for Tomorrow, bringing together thought leaders and changemakers to share transformative ideas. The event saw participation from over 200 attendees, including professionals from industry, academia, and higher education institutions.
The event was graced by esteemed guests Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Director General, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) who highlighted that good leaders have vision and they deliver; Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Managing Director and CEO, MREI; Prof. (Dr.) Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, MRU; Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Banga, Pro Vice Chancellor, MRU; and Mr. Ramesh Nair, Registrar, MRU.
Prof. (Dr.) Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, MRU stated, “Platforms like TEDx MRU are important as they spark curiosity, inspire innovation, and encourage critical thinking. A diverse lineup of speakers brought valuable insights to the stage. Mr. Amit Pandey, CEO of Orient Cables, spoke about balancing professional success with personal happiness. Mr. Sarthak Mittal, Chairman & CEO, Mittal Alliance, shared his entrepreneurial journey and the role of perseverance. Mr. Himanshu Saxena, Growth Lead at DevDynamics AI, highlighted the power of storytelling in communication and trust-building. Dr. Mahima Bakshi, Maternal Child Coach and Founder of Birthing Naturally, underscored the importance of leadership qualities such as collaboration, curiosity, and courage.
Adding a unique perspective, Mr. K.K. Bhagchandani, Founder and CEO of KKB.Works and Empyrian LifeSciences Inc., connected ancient wisdom with modern leadership principles. Ms. Sheena Singhania, Founder of ProjectCakebySheena, encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to turn passion into profitable ventures. Mr. Angad Talwar, Co-Founder of CosIQ, spoke on stepping out of one’s comfort zone to achieve success. Lt. Commander Gaurav Saini, an Indian Navy Veteran and Cybersecurity Professional at American Express, compared military and corporate leadership, emphasizing trust and resilience. Ms. Anila Bansal, CEO and Founder of Pehchan Media Group and Pehchan NGO, shared her journey of transformation and empowering others.

The backbone of the event was the dedicated faculty including Ms. Anu Priya Sharma, Member, IIC; Dr. J.P. Sharma, Deputy Director, IIC; and Dr. Ranjna Jain, Convener, IIC, along with a passionate group of students who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make TEDx MRU a success. Their efforts contributed to the engaging discussions and meaningful exchanges that marked the event, making TEDx MRU a landmark initiative in thought leadership at Manav Rachna University.
